A warp will appear that will take you the beginning of level 3.1.

Unlimited lives:

Pause game play and press M. The sound of a laser gun will confirm this
part of the code. Type motherfuckenkiwibastards to enabled unlimited
lives.

Hidden warp:

Stand at the entrance to the room with the giant octopus on level 2-4.
Fire to the right until a warp to level 3-1 appears.
